Turning a vague brief into something that works taught me to keep asking until I understand. Clear two-way communication matters just as much on a flight deck.

• Taught myself the tools for broadcasting: OBS, overlays and bitrate sampling.
• Create and manage gaming content for an online audience.
• Collaborate with emerging creators to develop and promote content.
• Plan content and handle audience interaction on my own.

What I take into aviation

I learned a technical toolset from scratch and stuck with it for the long term. Pilot training asks for the same mix: learn a lot, largely alone, and stay consistent.

• Organise information so it is accessible, consistent and efficient to use.
• Handle documentation that needs accuracy and careful attention to detail.
• Support professional standards across internal records.

What I take into aviation

Records only help when they are accurate and consistent. That means checking details and following a process every time, which is the mindset behind checklists and procedures in aviation.
